Role: Sales Manager 
Location: Deer Park Golf & Country Club
Reports to: General Manager    
Position: Full Time

The Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue for Deer Park with focus on attracting Golf Events, Meetings and new members across all categories. This is a proactive role requiring a self-starting experienced seller with an interest in Golf. The role carries a competitive salary with significant bonus potential. Part of a small and highly driven team the role also requires flexibility with a hands-on approach to getting the job done.


Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
•    Research and Identify new potential clients and members for Deer Park
•    Proactively network with the local Business Community
•    Support the GM in the creation and execution of the Strategic Sales Plan for Deer Park
•    Develop a robust Golf Events Calendar on an annual basis
•    Maintain detailed customer records
•    Support the Clubs Social Media strategy particularly on LinkedIn 
•    Create innovative and competitive packages using all aspect of the Clubs facilities
•    Undertake an agreed level of external sales calls on a weekly basis
•    Represent the Club at various trade shows and local networking events
•    Manage the sales process from initial contact through to contracting
•    Internally communicate the Sales Plan to all departmental heads
•    Support the GM in preparation of the monthly owners’ report
•    Monitor market place and competitor activities


The Candidate
Ideally educated to degree level this role would suit a reactive seller in a Golf Club or Resort who wants to develop a career in proactive sales whilst enjoying a passion for golf. The Club has significant scope and capacity for growth for Corporate & Society Golf Events and for Business Meetings/Events. A knowledge of the Corporate landscape of West Lothian would be helpful but not essential. Self-starting with creativity and the ability to work both as part of a small team and independently on the road.
